The Advance Pro 2 is MSR's premier tent for lightweight alpinism, and is an ultralight 2-person 4-season single-wall tent.  This compact tent utilizes just 2 poles with a sleeve for one and clips for the other which allows for quick and easy set-up in storms and tight spaces.  The upper tent body is made with a 2-layer waterproof-breathable 20d ripstop nylon fabric.  The floor is a thicker waterproof 30D ripstop nylon with a 3000 mm Xtreme Shield™ polyurethane coating and durable water repellent finish.  The is a single wall style tent, and so the tent body is also the rainfly and there is no separate rainfly to drape over the top.  The amount of space in the tent is made to be tight for 2 people and roomy for one person with gear.  The polyurethane applied tent fabric is best suited for cold and dry high altitude environments.  Other features include a single zippered door on one end that zips down towards the floor of the tent, 2 mesh-backed peak vents on the sides, ultralight Easton® Syclone™ composite poles, and numerous low and high-level guy-out points at the corners, sides, and top of the tent for high wind security and stability.  This is a highly specialized lightweight mountaineering tent.
